But our love for human rights, intellectual freedom and civil discourse–the gift of democracy being weaponzied by bad actors for brainwashing–comes shining through in our podcasts, including our hilarious, dark political satire, Trump’s Fever Dream.
We live in strange times that America’s very destiny to perfect its union and enshrine equality for all in its laws and the lives of its citizens–the idea upon which America was founded–is once again on the chopping block to serve mentally-ill corporate welfare recipients like Elon Musk, Donald Trump and their oligarchic white, male, patriarchal domination of all citizens with hateful Jim/Jane Crow 2.0 laws, and the destruction of hard-won and popular human rights protections. The idea of American freedom and equality, the ‘American Dream’ that has inspired so many, is a system which our nation has championed across the world for over 248 years paid for with the blood and sweat of patriots. This fight for our human rights and dignity can never be considered political when our citizens died for them.
We at Political Cool Down see supporting democracy and Democrats as the best course for ending the hate and division our broken Republican party has been fomenting for a decade with the support of bad actors from within. “We don’t want no civil war! This is what we are posting for!”
